Following the presidential directive in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria for residents of the Federal Capital Territory Lagos and Ogun States stay at home, major streets in Abuja have been deserted.
A drive through the ever busy Airport road observed a high level of compliance as security operatives manning major point around the city centre.
However some petrol stations are open and selling to essential service personnel like health and emergency workers and journalists.
At the Federal Housing Authority, some residents were seen engaging in physical sporting activities while fruits and food vendors remain open.
